Victor Azamfirei, Doctoral student

Victor Azamfirei is a Product Design Engineer, graduated at Skövde University in 2017 during an Erasmus+ program (from the University of Malaga, Spain). He has also a M.Sc. in Industrial Systems from Skövde University (2018). His B.Sc. thesis was done in collaboration with Uniti AB for the design of the Steering wheel of the company’s first electric vehicle. In addition, Victor has work experience from Robert Bosch in Ultrasonic Sensors.

This PhD project targets the industrial robot collaboration question. The first research challenge concerns risk, specifically evaluating risk in robotized assembly. This work will be conducted within the Application of Automation Tteam, in close collaboration with MITC and industrial partners at a collaborative lab, designed and built in Eskilstuna. This environment offers little constraints in intellectual capital and space limitations. Therefore, the target will be broad, from SME to mass production robotized assemblies and anything in-between. This work is carried out in collaboration among MITC and MDH.
