Abstract

Intellectual capital (IC) is experiencing a revival in both theoretical and practical respects. The expansion of the IC agenda not only means a geographical spread but also means an expansion of the IC agenda into broader domains of experiences and understandings of its basic concepts, its measurement and its possible usages. It wouldn't be surprising if the distinct Japanese contribution to further theorization may be found in the experience and tradition of Japanese management and the specific assumptions and practices associated with it.
